Church

Welcome elcome to the New Castle Presbyterian Church website. For over 356 years this congregation has maintained a Christian presence in the area of New Castle and beyond. We have been worshipping in our present Meeting House since 1707, and we continue to experience the transforming presence of Jesus Christ here today. Our congregation has remained faithful to its mission and to each other as we have stood the test of each time in which we have lived.

Our nearly 200 members come from the historic town of New Castle, from the surrounding counties, and from neighboring states to experience the Risen Christ at work here. We are growing in numbers and in spirit.

We invite you to join us! Come participate in this bold venture for a new day and time. We celebrate our diversity and we rejoice in our various gifts. We are always looking for new ways in which to serve our community and our God. Won't you help us?

VISION

New Castle Presbyterian Church is a welcoming congregation with a historic commitment to Jesus Christ through the study of the gospel, the worship of God, and an ongoing involvement in servant ministry.

MISSION

New Castle Presbyterian Church offers a nurturing and supportive environment where all are invited to join in worship, prayer, and fellowship while being treated with understanding, compassion, and tolerance. We are led by God's Living Word and the Holy Spirit. We seek to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, growing spiritually, in number, and in diversity. With a glad heart, working as a congregation or in cooperation with others, we provide service and outreach to the local community and to the world. Through our outreach activities, we help feed, clothe, and shelter the needy while spreading the Gospel. We are a historic church making a positive difference through the support of community events and organizations, providing use of our facilities, time, and resources.
